He is perhaps best known for his signature use of folds. Some dresses look like origami because of the their intensely folded construction, while others look like finely accordioned crepe paper. Fan shapes predominate and many of his incredibly inventive creations, looking like they have unfolded before our eyes, have been called sculptures in fabric.
